Flight of the Conchords is a duo of Kiwi comedians who describe themselves as 'New Zealand's fourth most popular folk parody band'.

Look them up on youtube, because they're freaking hilarious.

Brick is a noir detective film set in a modern US high school. I watched it this evening.

Watch it.

Don't look it up on IMDB, don't rub your scholarly beard and think about whether the concept of high school noir makes any sense. Just rent it, buy it, pirate it, borrow it from me or hold up a Virgin Megastores lorry to get hold of it. Don't read the DVD box, just watch it.

If you're only going to listen to one bit of advice on fiction from me in your entire lifetime, listen to this.
